About the Artist

My name is Daniel Wayanda (some know me as Dannis), a visual artist creating from lived experience, faith, and a deep desire to see beauty bring healing.

Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and now based in Toronto, Canada, my journey has been shaped by movement, culture, and resilience. Art became a language for me, a way to process life, express faith, and tell stories that words alone cannot fully carry.

Art has been a source of restoration in my life. Through portraits and expressive works, I explore themes of identity, hope, faith, and human connection. Each piece is created with intention, prayer, and heart.
